Cathleen Jia Editorial Shoot

Cathleen Jia Editorial - Sydney City Styled Shoot

Sharing more bridal inspiration on the blog this week.
Who loves a chic and simple gown but wants another element to lift their look? The answer is simple, a long veil and a layering bridal separate. Cathleen Jia ticks all the boxes with style, elegance and luscious silks.
This editorial shoot in Sydney was a favourite of mine as we walked the streets of Paddington chasing light and finding cats along the way.

Together Journal Feature :: She is Light

“She is folded in the suns and moons, she is both light and shade. She is equally peaceful and passionate, feminine and romantic. She has no problem finding the light. You can imitate her light, but you cannot become it.”

Beauty in the Raw – Elemental Inspiration

Beauty in the Raw – Elemental Inspiration “Beauty of style and harmony and grace and good rhythm depend on simplicity.” It was this quote by Plato that inspired the Sydney-based creatives behind this shoot.

Monique Kate Creative tells us the idea was to keep things simple and let the effortlessness of the raw elements speak for themselves to deliver something natural and real. Jason Corroto’s dramatic and candid style of photography was the perfect match for Monique’s creativity.

Hard elements such as stone and concrete are tempered by lush greenery and soft fabrics, including a dreamy handmade crochet gown by MKC Couture. With the addition of vibrant blooms and an earthy setting featuring a Kombi from Kombi Weddings, the images evoke a youthful passion and freedom of spirit.

Junebug - A day in the Life Of - Engagement Shoot

From the sweetest bedroom moments to an intimate pancake breakfast, there’s something so special about Monique and Jarrad’s lifestyle engagement session. Monique and Jarred celebrated their recent engagement with a photo session out in the stick's. The couple’s session includes a mini boudoir session in their sun-drenched country cottage, a homemade blueberry pancake snack, a bubble bath, and an incredibly cool expedition among Australia’s outback.
