I love Byron Bay weddings! Especially when Dani is the bride and The Make Haus are involved!
James & Dani's special day involved perfect weather, awesome styling, an epic venue, a fun crowd and a stunning couple. Dani being a creative stylist and designer had a vision for her wedding day, she had every detail planned out from the florals and candle arrangements on the tables too the amazing arch set up at the ceremony spot.
To be trusted in documenting her wedding day was a pure privilege and I'm so stoked to share the photos with everyone. As seen in the Hello May Real Wedding Special

Kate says there was no hesitation when it came to choosing a wedding venue. “I always wanted to get married on Blake’s parents farm. It’s a special place to us as we’ve spent many years together and with friends and family there. I didn’t even look at any wedding venues and pushed to make the DIY wedding work (as difficult and time consuming as it was!). I wanted it to be a 3-day festival rather than just 4 hours in a venue.”
The festival format allowed plenty of opportunity for celebration after the wedding itself. The next day guests were treated to recovery Bloody Marys, bacon and egg rolls, a surprise helicopter ride, bottles of Veuve and an afternoon of live music. Kate recalls, “Everyone dressed up and got into the spirit of the festival (face glitter and all) and partied for another night under the stars next to a huge bonfire.”

Bridie and Matt’s Yarramalong Valley wedding was a gorgeous blend of low-key outdoor vibes and old Hollywood glam! Between Bridie’s beaded Karen Willis Holmes gown, Matt’s classic black tux and bowtie, and the classic black and white colour palette, we love how this couple’s wedding style felt glamorous, yet totally at home, in their relaxed outdoor venues. From the couple’s ceremony outside the quaint St. Barnabas Church to their totally classic getaway car (complete with tin cans trailing it!

Nina and James’s dreamy Australian wedding blended low-key boho vibes with totally personal details! The couple’s ceremony and reception was held at the campgrounds of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, which is also where their family and friends comfortably camped out during the wedding weekend. From the floral design by the bride’s mom to the potluck dinner provided by all of the wedding guests, I loved how every inch of this wedding was DIY! Nina wore a breathtaking gown from Spell & The Gypsy Collective that featured bohemian lace and a stunning open-back design.

The Wedding of Jess & Ben was one to remember! With such a cruisy vibe and laid back nature about the two, this couple ticked all the boxes for me as a photographer.
Jess styled the whole venue herself! With a background in floristry there was no doubt her innovative obsession would reflect the chic style portrayed in all the finer details on the day :)
As for the location, Greenfield Farm Estate is such a cool venue for a wedding, situated 2 hrs North of Sydney, this rustic rural atmosphere is surrounded by gardens and spectacular views of the Watagans Range which make for some epic images!

Ryan & Kate got married on the sands of Killcare Beach. It was such a beautiful ceremony and reception.
Kate looked amazing in her hand made dress, as the reception was styled by Ryan & Kate's parents.
This DIY wedding was a favourite of 2016 and i think the images speak for themselves.
